“To exist is to change, to change is to mature, to mature is to go on creating oneself endlessly”

Henri Bergson

What to Expect at Your Senior Session:

THE CONSULTATION

Before your photo session begins we will have a consultation and discuss how you would like to capture your personality.  Each session is a new opportunity to capture a unique individual not just another picture.   I want to find out who you are and what you like before I start creating your memories.  We will have our consultation either by phone or in person (at a location of your choice).  This part of your session is probably most the important because knowing what to expect helps you to relax during your portraits and brings out your best expressions.

PROPS

Personalize your session!

Show off your hobbies and interests by adding props to your photos.  Bring your uniforms, dance costumes, killer hat, school ring, sports uniform & equipment, awesome necklace or earrings, musical instruments, art, car, tractor, boat, pet, or whatever else makes you unique!

LOCATIONS

I specialize in “on location” senior portrait sessions so you can have photos taken that reflect the “real you”.  Your portraits can be taken at your home or an outdoor location of your choice. I can bring my “studio” to your house to offer a choice of backdrops in more comfortable surroundings.  I offer a list of suggestions for outdoor locations for your convenience but I never limit you specifically to the outdoor locations listed below!  If you have a request or suggestion for another location I would love to hear it.

I LOVE going to new places!

PLACES THAT MEAN SOMETHING TO YOU:

Home, pools, gym, country club, golf course, pool hall, bowling alley, stables, fire station, parks, lakes, the ole’ dirt road, recital hall, grandma’s house, theater, stadium, baseball diamond, and any other place that has a special meaning to you!

CLOTHING SUGGESTIONS

CHOOSE YOUR STYLE… Are you Classical? Casual? Natural? Dramatic? Athletic? Wild? Trendy? Glamorous?   Unlimited clothing, makeup and hair changes – do what makes YOU feel best!

~ One word, SIMPLE! By staying simple the focus is on you, and not what you are wearing, avoid heavy patterns and logos.

Spring/Summer Lighter toned clothing usually works best, again KEEP IT SIMPLE.   Simple summer dresses, shorts, jeans & t’s.

Fall Darker toned or fall colored clothing looks nice with all the fall colors that are in abundance usually the last two weeks of September and through November or until the first big snowfall.

BLACK & WHITE PORTRAITS:

If you are interested in turning your images into black and white portraits, black, navy, brown, maroon or gray clothing works best. If you don’t have long sleeved shirts, short sleeved will work. Black pants or jeans are preferred.

REFERRAL PROGRAM:

When you refer a new client to FireSide Photography you will receive a certificate by mail for a free 8x10 portrait upon completion of their session. Certificates can be saved and used all at once or one at a time. Certificates expire within one year of issue and it can be used to purchase previously taken photos.
